Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Production Planner will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and optimizing production schedules to ensure timely delivery of metallic display cases while maximizing efficiency, resource utilization, and quality standards. The role requires a balance of technical know-how, strong organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate across departments.
1. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules in line with customer orders, capacity, and material availability.
- Translate sales forecasts and customer requirements into achievable production plans.
- Monitor workflow, lead times, and bottlenecks; recommend corrective actions when needed.
- Coordinate with procurement, design/engineering, and production teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and tools.
- Implement and optimize planning systems (ERP/MRP) to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Track KPIs such as on-time delivery, capacity utilization, and inventory turnover.
- Liaise with the quality team to ensure planned schedules align with inspection and testing requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing practices, to enhance productivity.
- Communicate schedule changes, risks, and progress updates to management and stakeholders
2. Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain Management, Production Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Planner, Scheduler, or similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and planning software (e.g., SAGE).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Fluent speaker and written in English (mandatory)
