Accounting Assistant

We are seeking an Accounting Assistant, to be based in our primary manufacturing facility in Portugal.

Main Duties and Responsibilities :

• Support month-end tasks (such as preparing and entering account entries, analysis of accounts and preparation of reports)
• Monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and PL
• Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures, complying with financial legal requirements
• Prepare tax reports complying with financial legal requirements
• Assist with year-end close process and audit
• Assist and support to the Group’s Finance Team AR/AP, banking and reconciliations of Group accounts
• Fixed assets maintenance
• Assistance in the analysis and interpretation of monthly variation
• Assist in yearly budget preparation and monthly forecast.

What we require: 

• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
• At least three years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge on Microsoft application Excel
• Knowledge and experience in system Sage X3 (highly recommended)
• Fluent speaker and written in English (mandatory)
• Strong technical accounting and IT skills
• Detail orientation with high level of accuracy
• High ability to plan, organize and manage time
